Bio

I obtained my mediation training from Harvard Law School and Pepperdine Law School.   Both schools have different approaches to mediation and I will pick and choose some or all of the skills, techniques and approaches to fit your mediation.

In addition I also bring to mediation, 30 years of civil litigation and trial experience.  The substantive areas of law in which I have practiced are diverse but I have particular experience in occupiers liability, professional negligence (medical, engineering, architecture, design and accounting), product liability (pharmaceutical, fire and automotive) commercial litigation (construction, builders lien, trade mark and passing off claims) and personal injury.  I will continue to practice law while adding mediation to my practice.

As a mediator, my natural inclination is to “facilitate” the parties to reach their own resolution as they are the experts in their own cases.  But if called upon I will be a sounding board, fresh set of eyes and if appropriate will be “evaluative”.  I am open to acting as a mediator/arbitrator.
