James Minns is a lawyer who practiced commercial litigation appearing before various courts and administrative tribunals. He currently serves as an independent mediator, arbitrator, adjudicator, and appraisal umpire whose practice is focused on a wide range of commercial and property disputes. James is a Certified Adjudicator under the Ontario Construction Act prompt payment legislation. James sits on the Adjudication Panel of Resolution Canada appointed to determine CIRA .ca domain name disputes. He is also a Deputy Judge with the Ontario Superior Court of Justice, Small Claims Court for Toronto Region. James received his LL.B. from the University of Western Ontario, an MBA from the University of Toronto, and a Master of Law in Intellectual Property Law from Osgoode Hall Law School. James holds several mediation and arbitration certificates and designations including a Fellowship from the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (FCIArb.).
