Izak Rosenfeld is Associate General Counsel for Access Now, where he acts as global in-house counsel, advising on international operations and compliance, and facilitating the organization’s policy, advocacy, digital security helpline, and grants programs. He is a former Board Member/Director with the CIArb Canada Branch. Prior to Access Now, Izak worked in commercial litigation and corporate law at a full-service law firm in Toronto, Canada.

• He is a licensed Attorney & Counselor at Law in New York (USA), and a Barrister & Solicitor in Ontario (Canada), with a Juris Doctor (JD) from the University of Melbourne Law School (Global Top-10 Law School), having also studied at McGill University.
• Izak is an active member of a number of legal committees and organizations, including the New York City Bar’s In-House Counsel Committee and International Law Committee, New York State Bar Association (NYSBA) International Law Section’s Corporate Counsel Committee, NYSBA Dispute Resolution Section’s International Dispute Resolution (IDR) Committee, NYSBA Corporate Counsel Section’s Pro Bono, Diversity, and Technology/New Media Committees, National Lawyers’ Guild International Committee, and the Association of Corporate Counsel’s International Legal Affairs Network. He is also a member of the American Bar Association, Federal Bar Association, New York State Academy of Trial Lawyers, Mensa, and the International Mediation Institute (IMI).
• In his spare time, Izak volunteers as an Environmental Law Associate (Pro Bono) with the Earth Law Center, a Pro Bono Attorney with the ABA’s Free Legal Answers Program, a member of the Young Professionals’ Council with World Animal Protection, a mentor with the NYSBA, and a mentor with Melbourne Law School.
• Izak has received recognition from a number of organizations focused on law, technology, and dispute resolution, including being recognized in “Who’s Who in America – Legal” by Marquis, and being recognized as a “Future Leader of the Profession in Arbitration” by the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (CIArb) Canada, Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors (RICS), and the Chartered Institute of Quantitative Surveyors (CIQS).
• Izak has been awarded the level of Associate (A.CIArb) with the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (CIArb), Member (M.AiADR) with the Asian Institute of Alternative Dispute Resolution (AiADR), Member (M.CMI) with the Chartered Management Institute (CMI), Professional (P.RI) with the Resolution Institute (RI), Mediator with the International Mediation Institute (IMI) Young Mediators’ Initiative (YMI), and Member (M.AICD) with the Institute of Corporate Directors (AICD).
