Lisa Munro is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (FCIArb) and has the Qualified Arbitrator (Q.Arb.) designation from the ADR Institute of Canada (ADRIC). She is an arbitrator on the Arbitration Place, Toronto Commercial Arbitration Society (TCAS), and Vancouver International Arbitration Centre (VanIAC) rosters. She has experience in both domestic and international arbitrations (both ad hoc and under institutional rules) in disputes arising from contracts in a variety of sectors. Lisa is also a partner of Lerners LLP in Toronto and served as Toronto Office Managing Partner/Executive Committee member for 12 years. She brings to her role as arbitrator over 30 years of experience as litigation counsel with a broad range of expertise in commercial disputes. Lisa is a member of the Board of Directors of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (Canada Branch) and of ADRIC. She is one of four course instructors of the TCAS Gold Standard Course in domestic and international commercial arbitration in Canada. She is also the editor of and a contributor to Arbitration Matters at http://www.arbitrationmatters.com, which provides regular summaries, with commentary, of key decisions on arbitration as they are released by courts across Canada. In addition, Lisa is the host of a regular arbitration webinar series, available both live and on YouTube.
