Dodokin Law & Conflict Resolution
I am an experienced, credentialed, and knowledgeable conflict resolution professional. I have over 25 years in private practice as a commercial litigator with an emphasis on business disputes, shareholder disputes including oppression remedy claims and insolvency matters. I have the designation of FCIArb and the designations of Q.Arb and Q.Med from the ADR Institute of Canada. I have been appointed to arbitrate commercial and contractual disputes and I have written procedural orders and awards on liability, damages, jurisdiction and costs as well as managed the arbitral process from start to finish.
I am on the Arbitrator/Mediator Rosters at Arbitration Place and Vancouver International Arbitration Centre. I have been mediating disputes since 2010 from a litigation prevention perspective and after litigation has begun. I have mediated domestic and international disputes.
I have expertise in virtual hearings and I am creative and pragmatic in my approach to the process. I have also completed the Toronto Commercial Arbitration Society’s gold standard arbitration course. I have an LL.M in dispute resolution and mediation training from Harvard Negotiation Institute. I write and edit summaries for Arbitration & Business Cases, a blog I created with a colleague. Over the years I have represented financial institutions, court-appointed officers, business partners, shareholders, and companies in commercial and civil litigation as well as represented parties at arbitration and mediations.
